FAQ
The platform
What is Faex Health?
Faex Health is a longitudinal preventative GI intelligence platform. Users track digestive health over time through non-invasive at-home participation on a smartphone, and AI-supported analysis turns those observations into structured digestive health summaries and pre-screening indicators. The differentiator is continuity: Faex follows trends over time rather than producing a single snapshot.
What is Faex MD?
Faex MD is the platform's clinician-facing interface. Doctors, HCPs, nutritionists, care teams, telehealth providers, and research partners review structured longitudinal summaries, symptom histories, and AI-supported pattern flags. It supports professional review and care-team visibility, and does not replace clinical judgment.
Clinical boundaries
Does Faex diagnose conditions?
No. Faex does not diagnose. The platform produces pre-screening indicators and structured summaries that support earlier awareness and professional review. Every clinical decision stays with a clinician.
How does Faex relate to colonoscopy, Cologuard, or FIT?
Colonoscopy remains an important standard-care procedure, but it is episodic rather than continuous. Its cost, invasiveness, availability, and logistics can create barriers to timely participation. Faex is not a substitute for colonoscopy, Cologuard, FIT, pathology, physicians, or clinical judgment.
How accurate is Faex?
Faex does not publish accuracy statistics. Clinical research and prospective validation studies are underway, including a government-supported evaluation in Chile. What has been evaluated, and when, is recorded on Clinical Validation.
Privacy and data
Who can see a user's data?
Access to production systems is limited to named Faex personnel on the principle of least privilege, and requires multi-factor authentication. A user's images are scoped to their own account. No other Faex user can view them.
Is user data sold, or used to train third-party AI models?
No. Faex does not sell user data, does not use it for advertising, and does not train third-party AI models on user photographs or notes. Where Faex improves its own models using user data, it does so only with consent and only on de-identified content.
What is Faex's compliance posture?
Faex is operated as a general wellness product under the U.S. FDA General Wellness policy, and is designed to support GDPR-aligned data practices. Faex does not claim SOC 2, HITRUST, or ISO 27001 certification, because it has not undergone those audits.
Working with Faex
How do healthcare organizations deploy Faex?
Health plans, employers, government and public health bodies, military healthcare organizations, and provider groups deploy Faex for preventative GI engagement at population scale. Deployment shape, consent model, and reporting are set per organization.
How do clinicians and provider groups get access?
Clinicians work through Faex MD, and access to any individual's longitudinal summary is consent-based. A user grants access; it is never assumed.
